Sree Vellapally Nadesan is the General Secretary of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam, the social organisation of millions of Ezhavas in Kerala. He hails from kanichukulngara, Alappuzha district of Kerala. He is one of the notable Liquor barons in Kerala as well.
Vellapally Natesan Born as one of the 13 children of Late Vellappally Kesavan Muthalaly, of rich vellapally family who were land-lords of the locality. The family were owning a school and a devi temple at kanichukulngara. Now Vellapally Natesan is General Secretary of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam and SN Trust. He popularly known as "Vellapally" and played the recent major role in bringing up the Ezhava community as a politically strong group in Kerala.

I convey my appreciation of sri velapally Nadesan in his stand for Hindu unity ,his words against the forces which are targetting Amrithanadaamma and her Ashram is absolutely true ,there is a concerted anti hindu stance and plan and Velapally is the only leader who minces no word about it ,I appreciate you sir and support you in hindu unity

വ്യക്തിപരമായ അനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ മാത്രം പൊതുവായ നിലപാടുകള്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നത് ശരിയല്ല എന്ന് ഞാനിന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും വ്യക്തിപരമായ ഒരു അനുഭവം പങ്കുവെക്കാന്‍ ഞാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
നാട്ടില്‍ ഉന്നതവിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന് പോകാന്‍ തയ്യാറാകുന്ന വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥി കളെ സഹായിക്കുനുള്ള എല്ലാ ശ്രമവും ഞാന്‍ നടത്താറുണ്ട്. ഈ വര്ഷം് ഉണ്ടായ ഒരു അനുഭവം ഇങ്ങനെയാണ്. നാലോളം വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥി കളുടെ ബിരുദ അഡ്മിഷനുവേണ്ടി പലരോടും ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു. അതിലൊരാളൊഴിച്ച് എല്ലാവരും കോളേജില്‍ പോയിത്തുടങ്ങി. ഈ മൂന്നുപേരെയും സഹായിച്ചത് അവരവരുടെ സമുദായത്തിന് കോളേജുകളുണ്ടായതുകൊണ്ടാണ്. അവര്ക്ക് മാര്ക്ക്ു കുറവാണെങ്കിലും സാമുദായിക കോട്ടയില്‍ അഡ്മിഷന് ലഭിച്ചു. പണം കൊടുക്കാതെ തന്നെ. പ്രതീക്ഷ അറ്റുപോയ കുട്ടി ഈഴവ സമുദായത്തില്പെങട്ടതാണ്. സമുദായകോട്ടയ്ക്ക് ഡിഗ്രി അഡ്മിഷന് സമുദായ നേതാക്കന്മാ്ര്‍ 35, 000 രൂപ ചോദിച്ചു. കുട്ടിയുടെ അച്ഛന്‍ ദിവസകൂലിക്കാരനായതുകൊണ്ട് പണം കൊടുക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. മറ്റൊരു സമുദായ കോളേജില്‍ സ്പോട്ട് അഡ്മിഷന് കാത്തിരുന്നു. അഡ്മിഷന് കിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് ഉറപ്പായി. എസ്. എന്‍. ഡി. പി. യുടെ കോളേജില്‍ സമുദായ കോട്ടയ്ക്ക് പണംചേദിച്ചതില്‍ തെറ്റില്ല. കാരണം, അവര്ക്ക് ലഭ്യമായ മാനേജ്മെന്റ്വ കോട്ടയില്കൂിടുതലാണ് അഡ്മിഷനുള്ള വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിുകളുടെ എണ്ണം. ഈഴവസമുദായത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഉന്നതവിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന് യോഗ്യതനേടുന്ന എല്ലാവിദ്യാര്ഥി മികള്ക്കുംട സാമുദായിക കോട്ടയില്‍ കോളേജ് പ്രവേശനം ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള കോളേജുകളുടെ എണ്ണം കേരളത്തില്‍ കുറവാണ്. എന്നാല്‍, ഇതര സമുദായങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിതി ഇതല്ല. ഇതിലൊരു സാമൂഹിക അസമത്വമുണ്ട്. ഈ അസമത്വമാണ് സമുദായ സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീ. വെള്ളാപ്പള്ളി നടേശന്‍ വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്നത്. അതേസമയം തന്നെ ലഭ്യമായ മാനേജ്മെന്റ്ശ സീറ്റുകളിലൂടെ ലഭിക്കുന്ന പണം സമുദായ സംഘടനയുടെ വിവിധതലങ്ങളില്‍ പ്രവര്ത്തിടക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക്ക സംഘടനാ പ്രവര്ത്ത്നത്തിനായി വിതരണം ചെയ്ത് സംഘടന ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ട പ്രശ്നവും സമുദായ സെക്രട്ടറിക്കുണ്ട്. ഈ സമുദായത്തിലെ യുവതലമുറയിലെ നിരവധി വിദ്യാര്ഥിഘുാകളിത് അനുഭവിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇതൊരു സാമൂഹിക യാഥാര്ഥ്യുാണമാണ്. അതുകൊണ്ട് എസ്. എന്‍. ഡി. പി. സെക്രട്ടറി വെള്ളാപള്ളി നടേശന്‍ പറയുന്ന കേരളത്തിലെ ഉന്നതവിദ്യാഭ്യാസമേഖലയിലെ സാമുദായിക അസമത്വം വസ്തുതാപരമായി ശരിയാണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. എനിക്ക് തെറ്റു പറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ തിരുത്തണം എന്ന് അഭ്യര്ഥിത്വക്കുന്നു.
